After a long, joy-filled summer and the excitement of starting a new school year, it can feel natural to wait until the firstscheduled parent-teacher conference to find out how our children are doing. But here’s something to keep in mind: between the first day of school and that first conference, nearly three months can pass, and a lot can happen in that time. Whether those months have been smooth or challenging,checking in with your child’s teacher sooner rather than later is always in your best interest.
